Claudia Buckley has chosen Maeve as one of her two contestants on the show this year.
Maeve and Claudia first met in 2013, backstage on the recording on ‘Opry An Iúir’. Claudia wa a featured artist on the show alongside her Father Jimmy Buckley while Maeve worked as a runner for Big Mountain Productions for the BBC/TG4 show.
Maeve spoke about this opportunity: “Claudia is a dream mentor for me in this years Glór Tíre. She is not only an exceptional performer and artist but I am lucky to call her my friend. Our friendship has spanned 13 years now and I have celebrated each of Claudia’s incredible achievements watching her live my dream and it’s an honour to be mentored by the only female mentor on this years show. So, this one’s for the girls!”
