2022 marks Maeve’s 10th year in the music industry. Since her debut performance in Newcastle, Co. Down in August 2012 Maeve’s career has gone from strength to strength. She released her first record ‘The Bramble and the Rose’ in 2014 and continues write and record material. Maeve has toured across Ireland with notable performances in Nashville, Boston and London and continues to grow her following of music fans and dancers at home in Ireland and globally performing regularly.
Maeve has spent time developing her vocal abilities as well as furthering her studies and knowledge of the voice and music business. She graduated in 2020 with a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Modern Music with Honours from The British Irish Modern Music Institute, Dublin with a speciality in Vocals. She devoted her thesis in final year studies to analysing the works and cultural significance of Dolly Parton in Country Music and Popular Cultural Perspectives, achieving a first class honours grading. During her final year of University studies Maeve completed her Musical Theatre Performance Diploma with the Royal London College of Music.
To date Maeve has one studio album and 4 studio singles, which are available online to stream and download. Maeve’s music and videos have been featured on television and radio across the world following in the footsteps of her music idols. Maeve grew up listening to the greats of American and Irish Country whom have helped shaped the artist she is. Maeve’s family members often recollect of the times Maeve would entertain by singing around the family home.
Since 2012 Maeve has established a reputation as a highly sought after Jiving and Line Dancing Instructor. When the world shut down in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Maeve moved her classes online offering free dance classes on Facebook and continued to do so until early 2022. The CountryFIT dance classes have become a recognisable brand and are due to be featured once again on the upcoming hit BBC series, ‘Keeping ‘er Country’.
